What is an elopement day like?

Each of our elopements is unique and catered toward you, whether that is a casual picnic on a sheepskin in the middle of a lava field a rugged hike up a glacier, or a glam-it-up adventure with multiple outfit changes or ALL of the above. The fun starts even before you set foot in Iceland when we start our planning together.

What’s included in your packages?

Thanks for asking. A full day of photography (up to 10 hours) although our average is 7-8.

Resources-we have connections to the best florists, caterers, hair and makeup, accommodations, farms to sniggle horses and baby lambs, glacier guides, super jeeps, helicopters you name it

Ideas-merging both your and your partner’s wishes and ideas into a detailed and thorough day of photography itinerary

Peace of mind-personally I think this is the most important. We work to make this process smooth, fun, and organized.

What extras will I need on my wedding day that are not included in your package?

An Officiant, hair, and makeup, florals. We will connect you with each of these services but you will book them directly. We strive to be as helpful as possible for anything related to this amazing trip you have embarked upon but our main focus is always what we are BEST at which is your photography, videography, itineraries, and guidance.

How will we get around?

Driving in Iceland is one of life’s great joys. Most of Iceland is discovered through self-guiding drives. On the day of your wedding, your photographer will come to meet you at your accommodations and you have the choice of having your photographer as a passenger (as long as we can agree on a playlist) or following each other in separate cars. I get this question a lot and for liability reasons, we cannot be your driver. For those who might want to just kick back on the wedding day and have someone do the driving, we can connect you with a driver for the day.

Where can we get married?

Pretty much anywhere! That’s the beauty of Iceland. I will guide you to areas where we will have majestic backdrops as well as ample privacy. I work with a few locations that will offer us exclusive privacy for an extra fee.

What is your travel radius?

Our packages are for any location in a 2-hour starting and stopping radius of the capital. We make an exception for Vik and the Black Sand beach which is 2.5 hours from the capital. Locations further afield (such as the Glacier Lagoon or the West Fjords)will have a small travel fee associated.

What time of year do you recommend?

My favorite month is August, something about the long but not TOO long days, the crisp slightly warm sweater weather air. I also love September to November when the tourist season has died down a. bit.

Spring in Iceland is magical with the explosion of purple lupines, but bring a heavy-duty eye mask cuz the sun does not set until 3 am.

April to November are the most stable months weather-wise. Winter is beautiful but must be approached with care.

What other things can you do to make our day and our trip special?

We are not full wedding planners or travel agents, we are elopement photographers with a little extra. That said I wanted you to know the little extras that you might expect from working with us
